Sam Walker is an Environmental Science major at the Rochester Institute of Technology. He began his education as an Advertising Photography major but after finding his niche photographing nature he soon realized he wanted the environment to be his primary focus.
Starting at a young age, Sam spent weekends fishing, hiking, and boating at his family’s lake house in the Catskill Mountains, which quickly shaped him into an avid enthusiast of the outdoors. He spends his free time during the school year by doing outdoor activities such as hiking, fly fishing, and camping, all with a camera in hand. During the summer Sam has made a habit of working and living in National Parks.
Sam became interested in photography in 2013 and after trying out many different types of photography, he found that he most enjoys combining his photography and his love for the outdoors.
Most recently his photographs have been featured in the CT Post, the Fairfield Citizen, and the Drexel High School Photography Contest Exhibition.
